Kinloch Plantation
Santee Delta, SC
Kinloch Plantation lies in the heart of South Carolina’s Santee Delta, shaped by history, wildlife, and generations of stewardship. Encompassing approximately 5,800 acres, the property reflects the culmination of fourteen historic rice plantations brought together into a single working estate. Today, Kinloch includes roughly 2,400 acres of managed waterfowl impoundments, 2,700 acres of marshlands and islands, and 700 acres of upland fields and woodland. The canals, dikes, and impoundments first constructed for rice cultivation continue to guide water and sustain natural wildlife habitat
By the early twentieth century, the property’s focus shifted from rice production to sportsmanship, carrying forward a Lowcountry tradition in which hunting preserved both land and custom. Long known for waterfowl, Kinloch also supports strong populations of turkey and deer across its fields, woods, and marshes, reinforcing its identity as a carefully managed sporting landscape rooted in history and stewardship
